Day Three – The Wedding Reception
The final day of Amber and Junaid’s three day weekend marriage festivities was the Reception at the Pointe Hilton Squaw Peak Resort. The bride, dressed in yet another beautiful sari, and the handsome groom were photographed in both a desert setting and on the opulent grounds of the resort. Wedding party introductions were followed by speeches, dinner and dancing in a magnificently decorated ballroom.
Day Two – The Wedding
Day Two of Amber and Junaid’s three day weekend marriage festivities was the Wedding at the Castle at Ashley Manor. The bride and groom were wedded in a typical Moslem ceremony and dressed in their most colorful finery. Traditionally, the groom had to pay his way into the festivity and later had to pay to reclaim his shoes. He did so without hesitation to wed such a beautiful bride.
Day One – The Mehndi Celebration
Day One of Amber and Junaid’s three day weekend marriage festivities was the Mehndi celebration. Colorful saris were in abundance and beating drums preceded their entrance as the bride and groom were treated to choreographed dancing by friends and relatives and fed sweets and given money to bless their future together.
Elaborate Sixteenth Birthday Party
Shivani’s sixteenth birthday party on Saturday, June 26th was no ordinary birthday bash. The Aviano Club House in North Phoenix hosted a lively and beautifully decorated party. Exquisite Indian sari’s dazzled the eyes and the lucky girl was entertained by choreographed dancing by relatives and friends and Deejay music that had the young crowd dancing until the late hours.
One Week Old Jonas
Anxiously awaited, one week old Jonas has already captured everyone’s heart. Not yet sure of the world around him, nourishment and sleep are punctuated by occasional forays into awareness. Soon enough his world will expand in all directions as he begins his life’s journey.
